Said the Lily Leaf to the Slug

Karagin Ruff

Once you break soil,
open your mouth
like a guillotine.
I welcome my beheading.
Guide me through
your radula and pharynx.
In your esophagus,
leave me lingering.
You loveless slug
who craves fresh salt,
come, kiss me, your lily leaf.
Let me satisfy your appetite.
